Initial i thought i could make an advert on teaching someone a skill, this would work for me as i play the piano and can teach the basics of it to people. This idea had been developed into a multi stranded story line which has two different adverts. The first advert will show me teaching Fin, who will be involved in both adverts, to play the basics of playing the piano, the whole content of the advert is not confirmed, but we have rough ideas. The second advert will show Fin, who plays the guitar, teaching me the basics of playing guitar. Again, the content of the advert is not confirmed but we have ideas on how it will run. The multi stranded adverts will make sure the viewer knows what is going on and is surprised when they see the roles switched, enticing them to want to watch the full series. Later on, I changed my idea slightly by switching the roles. Fin will now act teaching me to play the piano, and I will act teaching him how to play guitar. The concept is still

Welcome to my Media Studies blog. I have never studied Media before and this will be my first year doing so. I have done video editing and photo editing before so i should have a slight advantage over other students. I am looking forward to recording and editing my work. I have previously worked in Adobe Photoshop and Sony Vegas Pro. Here i will be sharing my camera shots and my editing work. Deodorant compilation. This was the first editing task we were assigned, we were instructed to make a short video showing different deodorants throughout the years. Here is my video: Kuleshov effect. This was our first real task using cameras in our media lesson, we were told to go out around the school and record the Kuleshov effect, which is when the audience mentally gains more information from two shots than one. I partnered up with Emily for this project and we recorded, edited and rendered this video in the space of an hour. Here is my video. John Lewis advert brief.
